Here are some examples of how associations award grants to help students pay for their master’s degrees
(1) The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is an excellent source of information regarding athletic grants and scholarships. Their foundation, the NSCAF furthers the goals of students in need of financial aid to pursue their education in the fields of strength and conditioning research. In addition, there are also athletic grants for students who are pursuing a master’s degree or Ph.D. Check their website for more details.
(2) The National Hemophilia Foundation awards the Social Work Excellence Fellowship. It offers up to $5,000 for one year for graduate students who are already licensed to practice and have worked in a bleeding disorders program. (3) Through the Screen Actors Guild Foundation there is the Woodbury University’s Matching Scholarship Program, for students pursuing a graduate degree. The graduate degree could be in a number of disciplines in which the entertainment industry is involved. As you can see, the possibilities can go on and on. (4) The National Science Foundation sponsors the Graduate Research Fellowship Program. They award research-based grants for students pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree. An additional source is the Metropolitan State College of Denver’s list of scholarships to help students pay for a master’s degree.
